About
This villa, at Ronchi in Tuscany’s exclusive Versilia coastal region, was built by a pupil of the cult architect Frank Lloyd Wright. It typifies the ethos of the Master’s philosophy of ‘organic architecture’. “A permanent consort to the ground, comrade of the trees, a true reflection of man in the realm of his own spirit...wherein he seeks refuge and repose.” The villa, still owned by the notable Tuscan family who commissioned it in the 60s, is 700 meters from the beach and located between the world-famous marble town of Carrara and the exclusive resort of Forte dei Marmi. Versilia, protected by the majestic Apuan mountains and graced by the crystal waters of the Tyrrhenian Sea (swimming, snorkeling, sailing, surfing, windsurfing and fishing), offers breathtaking shorelines and beaches, bustling quays and marinas and boulevards blooming with oleander and palm trees flanked by elegant stores and trattorias. A plethora of tennis courts, bike routes, gyms, skating rinks, riding stables and eighteen and nine-hole golf courses completes the extensive roster of local activities.
